Pore Cleaners Are They Effective?

How Facial Pore Cleaners can effectively clean your face

Cleaning the face regularly is a must to keep the skin clean. We take bath and wash off any dirt that is in our body and the facial skin similarly needs cleaning to rid it of dirt. But the facial skin is very different and more delicate than the body skin. It needs special treatment.

The skin has pores. These pores accumulate dirt and dust. They also store oil or sebum in them. Once in while the skin may accumulate excess white blood cells and clog the pores. To avoid blackheads and acne, it is important to keep the pores clean. A good skin care regimen is essential to keep the skin clean and pores breathing. Regular exfoliation is a part of good skin care. Exfoliation is a way to remove dead skin cells, dirt and oil from clogged pores.

There are several products available in the market to clean the pores. Some of these products are in the form of masks and others cleansers. All products are not meant for all types of skin. While selecting a product, choose something that suits your skin type.

Women also can avail grooming in the salon or parlour. They can ask for facials of various types that include exfoliation as one of the services. What we should understand is that regular cleaning and care results in good looking skin which is healthy and looks young.

While getting salon treated is the best way, if its not possible, there are other ways to keep the skin clean at home.

  1. Steaming – it is inexpensive and easy. It is highly effective for removing dirt and dust from clogged pores by opening them. There are electrical steamers available in the market. They are easy to use, just fill them with water to the required level and switch the machine on. If you do not have access to the steamer, use a pan to heat water. When the water is hot enough to produce steam, remove the pan from the heat. Using a towel, cover the head and lean over the pan. Don’t let any steam pass through. Let the steam wet your face the next ten minutes. Pat dry the face and use a toner or moisturizer afterwards.
  2. Sugar for exfoliation – sugar is a good exfoliator. It acts like a pore cleaner. Use this pore cleansing mask once every week to rid your skin of oil. Take two tablespoons of sugar. Crush them into powdered form. Mix in the juice of half a lemon and some water to make a paste.

Apply the paste on the affected skin. And rub gently in a circular motion. Rinse afterwards with cool water and moisturize.

  1. Baking soda is available in every home and has many uses. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda and water. Make a paste of the two and apply on the face. Rub in a circular motion and leave it on for few minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm. Use this pore cleansing mask twice every week.

Mascara Makeup Tips

What are the best ways to prevent blackhead?

At some point or the other everyone gets them. Some of us are so busy in our lives that we sometimes don’t recognize them or even ignore them thinking they will take care of themselves.

But the fact is that they form after every 15 or 30 days and must be removed manually. If not, they may lead to other problems. Skin is of various types. Oily skins mostly see blackheads but all skin types are prone to them.

Use a blackhead mask made at home or from the market to remove them. While homemade remedies take longer time to show results, they mostly don’t have any side effects.

How to prepare a blackhead removal mask?

Everyone has baking soda at home. If not, just buy a pack. It has several uses. One of them is getting rid of blackheads. A little baking powder and some water can go a long way in preventing them from occurring. Form a thick spreadable paste and apply on the face, especially around the nose and mouth or forehead.

But baking soda may cause dryness and so do it with caution.

Using a gentle circular motion, rub the paste on your skin. It is an inexpensive method and after you have done it for a few minutes wash off with normal water and moisturize.

Steam out

This may not be effective entirely but it is one way to reduce the pores from closing. We want the pores to open. Subject it to steam from a steamer and it can help loosen the skin, after which you can exfoliate to remove any dirt. The water should be boiling hot but let the temperature reduce before you bend over it and cover your head entirely with a towel, stopping any steam from escaping.

How about sweating it out?

Well, working out has more benefits than just reduced waist size. It leads to good skin. Don’t believe? Start a regiment for the next 3 months and once you follow through repeat for the next 3 months till it becomes your lifestyle. You will see the result on your skin too. It will be healthier and have a glow. You will be younger looking. After you work out, wash off the sweat that forms. Instead of using steam to open pores, work out and let the rest of your body gain from it too.

We have heard of the goodness and numerous uses of lemons. It is an astringent. Lemon juice works very well on skin. Lemon juice helps reduce the pores which could be effective for blackheads. Squeeze the juice of a lemon enough to cover your face. Dip a cotton ball to soak the juice and then rub it on your face. Let the juice dry. It can sting a little. Wash off after 15 minutes or so. Follow up with a moisturizer.

After you have tried all of these and yet you see those little irritants in your life, just use blackhead removal mask available in the market.
